As of late, I have been experiencing major lags playing Warcraft III. They usually occur when I come into contact with the enemy hero, so my strategy for most battles have turned into mindless lock-on and pray for victory. Considering that the game ran fine in the previous years, this intrigues me to seek out the source of the problem.
The issue was usually software related. Maybe I had too many processes running in the background. Maybe I had outdated drivers. Or maybe… my computer was infected with a process intensive virus. Whatever the case may be, I figured that formatting my computer was the best solution. Unfortunately, a fresh newly installed version of Windows with up-to-date drivers did not help.
I became desperate to have a good game. Setting the graphic settings to the bare minimum and disabling sounds also did not help. Turn off WC Banlist after the game started made no differences. What could the problem be? Is it possible that hardware degrade in performance over time? Could it be that my connection is dropping packets? This issue leaves me puzzled.

According to Los Angeles Times, the Proposition Campaign 8 have been sending blackmails to No On 8 donors. They threat to out these donors unless they donate an equal amount to Proposition 8. Regardless of whether or not same sex marriages are wrong, blackmailing homosexuals for donations is wrong.
Speaking of donations, I feel sorry for Proposition 8 donors. They ate up the lies fed to them by the Proposition 8 Campaign. They don’t know that Proposition 8 doesn’t have anything to do with teaching children about same sex marriages. The California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell confirmed this. One family with five kids even raided their college savings to donate $50,000 to the campaign. The price of ignorant is indeed very steep.

Timer Warner has been a thorn on my side for quite some time now. I received an $800 bill for the two cable boxes, which they claimed I have never returned. Technically, they just don’t know where the boxes are due to a combination of bad processes and poor inventory system, and they tried to make me pay for it.
The first box is now in their possession. I have a receipt given to me by their technician when he picked it up. Clearly, this a mistake on their end. As long as I hold the receipt, they cannot make me pay for this box.
The second box is now in my brother’s possession. When I closed my account, my brother opened his own shortly after. Instead of taking both boxes and giving my brother another, the technician took only the first box and assigned the second box to my brother’s account. This led to a lot of confusion because the second box should have also been taken off my account. I tried to explain this situation to Time Warner many times, but every time they insisted that I show them the receipt for this. Why don’t they manually open up my brother’s account to see that this is the case, and then take the box off my account?
To my surprise, some how a third box was added to my account, and Time Warner wanted me to either return the box or pay for it. I almost lost my temper talking to one of their agents from the billing department. Clearly my the billing statement for the final month only showed two boxes, where did the third one come from?
Not only Time Warner Cable is unreliable, they will make you pay for any inventory mistakes they make. This is absurd. Well, I’m not going down without a fight. They will have to sue me to get a dime out of me. I’ll take the bad credit hit. I highly recommend against choosing Time Warner Cable if other providers exist in your area.

It happens way too often! I don’t use Safari on my iPhone much because I’m always by a computer. If Safari crashes on me at least once a day, how could someone who uses it more often deal with the frustration?
No one knows what happens when Safari crashes. The browser simply disappears and returns you to the main screen. This is where Safari has failed and Firefox has succeeded. Whenever Firefox crashes, it compiles a crash report (probably a memory dump) and sends it to Mozilla. Then it gracefully recovers from the crash by resuming the session upon launch.
So here is the question: Will Safari on iPhone ever become more stable? Coming from a programmer’s perspective, my answer is no because Apple does not have crash reports.

I am very excited to announce the white mage costume has been modified to look more realistic. Aside from the addition of new the white belt, all changes were fixes to detail problems. The small orange-ish triangles are now bigger and red. The contrasting pink thread are now red as they should be. All I need is a pair of brown mittens and a wooden staff or a hammer and a wooden shield to go with the robe. Does anyone have any opinions with regards to the detail of this costume? As a diehard fan of Final Fantasy, I can already name a few (e.g. there are no triangles on the hood).
